An 87 m2 public playground located in the city of Hougang, Singapore, is the project that opens the doors to Southeast Asia for the Corkeen system.
The client is the Aljunied-Hougang Town Council. The council was looking for a flooring solution with a natural and uniform color, capable of maintaining impact-dampening capacity without requiring much maintenance.
They also wanted a floor that would not emit odors or become too hot during the periods of the day when the playground is more exposed to the sun, allowing children to enjoy the space throughout the day.
In addition to bringing together all these characteristics, the Corkeen system is also a sustainable solution and does not contain any harmful substances in its composition, which made it an almost immediate choice for the project.

Corkeen Play Original was installed in situ as a two-layer system (shock-absorbing base layer and wear-resistant top layer) in compliance with the EN1176 and EN117 standards.
