A unique haven built for play, inclusion, and activity!
Located in Fort Worth, Texas, US, the Eastside YMCA is a vibrant community hub dedicated to supporting physical, mental, and social well-being. More than a recreational facility, it serves as a place where everyone comes together to stay active, connect, and grow.
Within its outdoor leisure area, the Corkeen system was carefully installed, creating a high-quality foundation for play and everyday use.
The newly developed playground extends the YMCA’s mission outdoors, offering a dynamic space that encourages movement, interaction, and shared experiences among local families.
The project was made possible through a collaboration between the Dallas Stars, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, Child’s Play, and Corkeen, bringing together partners committed to investing in community well-being and accessible recreation.
Designed to welcome different age groups, the playground environment maintains a strong focus on safety, comfort, and inclusivity.
And that’s where our innovative system comes into play! Made from natural cork, it features a soft surface that helps cushion impact and enhances overall ease and support for users.
But there’s more to it: its efficient drainage capacity helps prevent puddles after rain, while contributing to a more pleasant temperature feel underfoot on warmer days - keeping the play area ready for use in different weather conditions.
